I don't have a signup form on my website. Where do I start?

The signup flow represents the steps customers go through to create an account or submit a lead form on your website. Once an account is created or a lead form is submitted, customers can then build a relationship with your product and company. Your signup flow should be simple and transparent so you can minimize the chances of a potential customer abandoning the process. There are a few different options you can take when it comes to the signup flow. You could make everything as straightforward as possible by just collecting the bare minimum amount of data (e.g., name and email) and letting users signup and start using your platform. Or, you can make it so that the user has to subscribe with their payment details before they are allowed to use your platform.

Starting My Signup Flow

In order to use GrowSurf, you must have a signup form on your website with an email field since the minimum requirement for adding a participant is a unique email address. If you do not yet have a signup form, we recommend you use a form that is not embedded within an iframe. <iframe>s are not compatible with referral tracking. Once you have a standard form or email input field on your signup page, then GrowSurf can integrate with it to track referrals. GrowSurf is compatible with ConvertKit, Formspree, Mailchimp forms, and Webflow, to name a few.

You can use any form/inputs with standard web HTML. However, if the form you are using is generated from an <iframe>, you'll need to use the REST API or JavaScript to add participants.

Note: GrowSurf is a platform that allows you to reach out to potential customers (e.g., the referred friend). Therefore, when you are creating your referral program, you must keep in mind the target of the campaign is the referred person rather than your customers - since they are referrers.
