Why are email invites not being sent out when using the REST API?
If you are using the REST API endpoints /POST Send Participant Invites by ID or /POST Send Participant Invites by Email and you are not receiving email invites as expected, please see below for a list of potential reasons why:
1. You must use a custom 'From Email'.
When using the REST API to send emails, you must ensure that the 'From Email' field is not set to Default. In the Campaign Editor, navigate to the Emails > Email Settings section. In the 'From Email' dropdown, select the Custom option.
2. You must have valid Contact Information filled in your Email Settings.
In the Campaign Editor, navigate to the Emails > Email Settings section. Scroll to the 'Contact Information' section and add your contact details.
3. You must have Enable Email Invites enabled.
In the Campaign Editor, navigate to the Design > Share section and enable email invites.
4. The Sender must be "Your Company".
If you are sending invites through the REST API Your Company should be selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Invite emails will not be sent to the same email multiple times. If you are testing during development, as a workaround if your testing email address is [email protected] you can test using email addresses using format [email protected], [email protected], etc.
